Miguel Botto
Investment Director
Miguel Botto has been working in the venture capital industry since 1992. His track record includes reference venture capital investments in Portugal. He has sat on over 20 Boards of Directors and has also worked in the tourism sector, as CFO and member of the Board of a listed company. Alongside his professional career, Miguel also focused on academic pursuits, lecturing at HEC – Lausanne, ESADE in Barcelona and, later, at the University of Minho (Management Control and Corporate Governance). His academic background is in Economics (Lausanne), which he later complemented with studies in Finance and Strategic Management (Católica Lisbon), Negotiation (Nova University) and Leadership (Harvard). Today, Miguel is Investment Director of Portugal Ventures’ Life Sciences Division.
