Big Idea
SurfACT is dedicated to the production of microbial surfactants, MELs, from renewable resources and to the development of eco-friendly products. These molecules are produced through fermentation processes using yeasts and can replace synthetic surfactants in the most diverse applications, from cosmetics to agriculture. The microbial surfactant produced by SurfACT has a high performance in reducing surface tension and presents diverse bioactivities, such as antimicrobial, moisturizing and antioxidant activity. Besides being produced sustainably, this unique molecule has high environmental compatibility, presenting a low toxicity and a high biodegradability.
